Our lawyers handle malpractice cases in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Gainesville, Ocala, and all surrounding areas of the First Coast and North Florida. We are available to meet with you free of charge in our Orlando office or by appointment in a comfortable executive suite location we maintain in Jacksonville’s Deerwood Park Office Center.
Rather than locating in one of the downtown Jacksonville towers, we specifically chose the Deerwood Park Center location for the convenience of our clients. Being outside of the downtown Jacksonville business core, it enables our clients to avoid the annoyance of downtown traffic and parking. Being on the south side, it is also more convenient for clients in St. Augustine and southward.
The location is a beautiful low-rise building, surrounded by stone fountains, gardens, and peaceful walkways to provide a pleasant, relaxing environment. Not only is there free parking, there is even an A-rated day care center for children should our clients need that service while meeting with us.
Because we take medical malpractice cases all over the state, none of our lawyers are in the Jacksonville location full time. However, if you would like to retain us for your case, we can arrange to meet you at our Jacksonville office by appointment, at a time that is mutually convenient, or even via Zoom.
There are very specific and important steps that must be taken to avoid an error when one is about to undergo surgery. If those steps aren’t taken errors can occur.
Some surgical errors are just minor inconveniences. Another minor surgery may have to take place to correct the issue. Other errors can be catastrophic and even lead to death.
For patients with hemorrhagic strokes, surgery may be necessary to relieve the pressure building up inside of the skull. Not all facilities have neurosurgeons available on staff, and transfer to a facility that has a neurosurgeon may be necessary.
Malpractice cases involving strokes may be based on the failure to administer tPA or the failure to rapidly transfer the patient to a more appropriate hospital (such as a Certified Stroke Center) where appropriate treatment can be given before it is too late to help.
A consultation with an experienced stroke medical malpractice attorney at our firm is always free. We routinely investigate stroke care, with a keen eye towards assessing whether different care should have been offered and whether it would have resulted in a significantly better outcome for the patient.
We are proud to be able to represent our clients in their Jacksonville-area malpractice cases.
