Florida Plastic Surgeon Benjamin Brown Charged in Death of His Wife

Plastic Surgeon Benjamin Brown, who owns a small clinic in the Florida Panhandle, has been arrested for manslaughter following the death of his wife.  She died after Dr. Brown performed multiple medical procedures on her at his medical clinic.  It has been reported that she had been planning to divorce him.

Clinic employees reported that during the procedure the woman showed signs of having a dangerous reaction to some of the drugs that were used.  In spite of his wife’s condition, Dr. Brown reportedly failed to call 911 when a staff member suggested it.  Later 911 was called, but by then it was too late to save the patient. Prior to the arrest, the Florida Department of Health had already issued an emergency restriction of Dr. Brown’s medical license arising from the incident involving his wife, as well as other reported incidents.
