$5 million given by Trulieve to support recreational marijuana in FL

Trulieve has given another $5 million this month in support of a new law that would make recreational marijuana legal in Florida. This brings their total donations to $65 million. The “Smart & Safe” committee is leading the campaign to pass this law, known as Amendment 3, which will be on our November 2024 ballot. The committee has raised about $71.6 million and spent nearly $56.3 million. The proposed amendment would allow adults 21 and older to use marijuana for personal use, either by smoking or other methods. Florida voters previously approved medical marijuana in 2016, so this amendment does have a chance of passing.
