Clermont Acupuncturist Arrested for Sexual Battery

Andrew Walsh, an acupuncturist in Clermont, Florida, was arrested and accused of sexual battery against a patient, says the Clermont Police Department.   The incident allegedly occurred in the exam room where Walsh has been accused of inappropriately touching and sexually battering a patient during a session. The patient had been going for treatment with Walsh for about 6 months.

Previous incidents of “bumping” her private area were initially dismissed by the patient as accidental. On July 2nd a more serious and graphic incident took place which led to the patient considering fleeing the room out of fear with her acupuncture needles still in place. After the alleged sexual battery, the treatment continued briefly, and Walsh again allegedly touched the patient inappropriately. The patient alerted Walsh’s office staff after Walsh left the room leading the police to get involved.  

 Walsh was arrested following a search warrant that was executed at his acupuncture clinic, Acupuncture Clermont. Walsh is currently held without bond at Lake County Jail according to public records.
